After you choose a template, you can use the email builder to start making changes to your email.
The GetResponse email editor has a lot of features, but they don’t get in the way. When you need them, you can see all of the editing options. So, it all makes sense.
Fans of old-school HTML code can start with an HTML design or code it from scratch, but that’s not at all necessary. It’s good to know that the drag-and-drop template builder has an option for custom HTML blocks.
Options for a drag-and-drop email editor
In the layout section, you choose how your email will be set up and how it will look. Set up the basic colours, number of columns, etc. Content Blocks are used to move and change most of the text.

The fact that you can save blocks and sections is my favourite thing about the email editor. I always use the same headers, footers, and some combinations of text and images. By reusing them in my next email, I save a lot of time.
It is easy to add videos and pictures. You can drag and drop your image or look through GetResponse’s free (!) collection of stock images.
Just put in the YouTube link for a video, and it will be embedded in the email.
There’s more fun to come. Under the eCommerce tab, you can add items from your online store to your email. If you link to your e-commerce platform, like Shopify, the products are right there. And for that extra touch, add a “recommended products” section.
How to set up your email to work well?
The whole email is made on a single page. Add subject lines, the email address of the person sending the email, and the right email list to send it to.
GetResponse email tracking is cool because it lets you keep track of eCommerce interactions:
You can keep track of what people do after clicking on links in your emails. Click tracking can be done with a tracking snippet from GetResponse, but it can also be done with a Google Analytics integration.
With eCommerce tracking, you can see which campaigns bring in the most sales and income. And show that your marketing costs are worth it.
GetResponse Email Automation
GetResponse Autoresponders are the foundation of automation. You make the email just like you would make a newsletter, but then you set it up so that it sends itself as an autoresponder.
With the scheduling, you can decide when emails are sent. You can choose to send the email when you sign up, a few hours later, or at a specific time and date. You can uncheck the days of the week when you don’t want the autoresponder to go out. For example on weekends.
The “travel through time” switch is my favourite part. If you check this box, the email will be sent at the local time of the recipient.

Marketing Automation Tools
GetResponse is great at automating marketing tasks. Because of the automation workflows, it is one of the best email marketing platforms for SMBs.
When I saw this navigation bar after opening the automation menu, I fell in love with GetResponse’s marketing automation.
This menu looks like a marketer’s dream. There are automation templates in each of these submenus to help you get started. I’m making a “welcome” automation for you because we are reviewing.
Creating a customer welcome automation
On to making a programme that will automatically greet my new customers. I start with an automation template that was already made. And I already have this after just a few clicks:
I know that it looks good. When you look at the automation flow in more detail, you can see that GetResponse has already done half of your work. It is simple to alter things to your liking.
There are conditions and things to do in the automation editor. For example, you can send an email when a customer buys something from you (the condition) (action). The first thing I’m going to do is send a welcome email. As many emails and conditions as you want can be added.
I’ve set up a flow for this email campaign so that my new customers get two emails in two days. Then, to make things easier for me, I separate customers who opened my email. GetResponse takes care of all of this on its own once the campaign starts.
I give the automations in GetResponse an 8.5% score out of 10. It takes a little bit of time to learn about all the options. But once you do, you’ll be able to make full customer journeys. Make your own automations, make customer profiles, and personalise emails.

How to create a conversion funnel?
As your first step, you’ll make a landing page for people to sign up. Choose a template, make some changes to the text and design, and then publish the page.
Then you’ll make a “thank you” page, and then an email to promote your business. This is the email you should use to start advertising your newly made funnel.
Advertise your funnel via Facebook. Connect your Facebook account to GetResponse for functionality.
Adding more emails, forms, and pages to your sales funnel will undoubtedly enhance its conversion rate.
Finally, you receive all the statistics you need to track the progress of your campaign. Using the conversion dashboard, track signup rates, the number of contacts, page visits, and success rate. (They make it too simple!)
The Email Marketing strategy enables the creation of lead and lead magnet funnels. For further features and the abandoned cart recovery function, you will need to upgrade your plan.
I appreciate being able to construct a whole getResponse sales funnel in a single dashboard, with the flexibility to measure key metrics. It renders the GetResponse funnel builder intuitive.
GetResponse’s website builder is the most recent addition to their platform.
You can create a website using templates or their “AI-powered builder.” With the Ai-powered website builder, you answer a few questions and GetResponse generates a personalised website automatically.
Other website construction possibilities include:
- widgets (forms, chat boxes, price tables, etc.)
- Website hues and styles
- Adding logos and images
After 5 minutes of experimenting with the builder, I was able to design a serviceable homepage with no effort.
The builder allows for complete page customization. You can alter fonts, text sizes, add or remove photos, reposition items, and modify padding, among other things.
There is a distinct menu for adding and updating website pages. It is possible to modify the navigation bars, headers, and footers. When a section is selected, the drag-and-drop editor displays further customization options.
The menus appear identical to those of the email and landing page editors.
Webinars Webinars are currently quite popular. GetResponse is one of the few platforms for email marketing that includes webinars.
Creating a webinar is simple.

Landing Page Builder
All Getresponse plans feature the landing page builder at no additional cost. Currently, the landing page builder provides 198 templates. Although truthfully, I would stick to the 100 most recent templates, some of the older ones… seem quite aged.
After selecting a landing page template, you can begin the editing process. The editing experience differs from that of creating an email.
The right-hand menu contains all drag-and-drop elements, including text, photos, video, and buttons, among others.
Initially, I believed I wanted the icons to be labelled. However, after a brief period of experimentation, you’ll quickly understand what each element is and how to obtain it.
I like that you can generate A/B variations of your landing page from the start using the landing page builder. In the upper-left corner of the page, you can generate as many variations as you desire, as well as forms and thank-you pages.
Landing page setup
When you are satisfied with the design of your page. You can add options for SEO, URL, and email lists.
What follows is perhaps my favourite section. As with your emails, you configure landing page statistics and web event tracking. I would continue to use GetResponse since landing pages can be linked to other efforts such as webinars, funnels, and automations.
Other noteworthy GetResponse capabilities include SMS marketing, Web push alerts, Paid advertisements, and Livechat.
GetResponse is therefore effective outside email marketing. It allows you to create full conversion funnels to convert visitors to customers. However, the story does not finish here. To evaluate an email marketing platform, you must consider customer support and pricing structures.
